Exercising is NOT one of my favorite things to do.  I workout because it’s great for your body, wellbeing, and a girl is trying to look cute in her clothes (Hey! I run a beauty blog… I’m a little vain, ok?)… but what do you do when you HATE working out but you know you should?

I totally understand! Here are some of my tips to get your moving and working on your fitness even when you prefer to do 78,394 things instead…

9+ tips to help you work out when you don’t want to

By implementing these tips, you can transform your exercise routines from a dreaded chore into a more enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Set Your Intentions and Objectives

Establishing clear goals can ignite your workout motivation! Think about why you want to exercise – whether it’s for health, confidence, or fitting into your favorite swimsuit. Write down your objectives and keep them visible as a daily reminder.

Treat Yourself to Stylish Fitness Gear

Feeling good in your workout clothes can boost your enthusiasm! Invest in cute, comfortable exercise outfits that make you excited to hit the gym or go for a run. When you look great, you’ll feel more motivated to get moving.

Lay Out Your Workout Clothes the Night Before

Make it easier to start your day with exercise! Set out your fitness gear before bed so it’s ready and waiting for you in the morning. This simple step eliminates excuses and streamlines your workout routine.

Add a Touch of Makeup for a Confidence Boost

A little makeup can go a long way in boosting your workout motivation! Apply some concealer, fill in your brows, or swipe on some lip gloss to feel more put-together and ready to tackle your fitness goals.

Prepare Your Body with a Quick Stretch

Ease into your workout with some gentle stretching! Take a few minutes to loosen up your muscles and get your body ready for exercise. This will help you feel more energized and prepared to take on your fitness routine.

Soak Up Some Sunshine Before Your Workout

Brighten your mood and boost your energy with natural light! Open your curtains or step outside for a moment to soak up some sun rays. This can help wake you up and make you feel more motivated to exercise.

Celebrate Your Efforts with a Tasty, Nutritious Treat

Give yourself something to look forward to after your workout! Reward your hard work with a delicious protein shake or smoothie. Choose a flavor you love, like pumpkin spice, to make it feel like a special treat.

Find a Workout Buddy for Extra Motivation

Exercise is more fun with a friend! Find a workout partner who shares your fitness goals and schedule regular sessions together. You’ll be less likely to skip workouts when someone is counting on you.

Explore Exciting Fitness Classes

Shake up your routine with group fitness classes! Try out different types of workouts like dance, yoga, or kickboxing to find activities you genuinely enjoy. The energy of a class can be contagious and keep you coming back for more.

Incorporate Movement into Your Daily Routine

No gym? No problem! Look for ways to add exercise to your everyday activities. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk your dog, or do some squats while brushing your teeth. Every bit of movement counts!

Discover the Joy in Physical Activity

Focus on the positive aspects of working out! Pay attention to how great you feel after exercising, the endorphin rush, and the sense of accomplishment. Celebrate your progress and the small victories along the way.

Keynotes:

  • Start by treating yourself to some cute workout gear. When you look good, you feel good, and that’s half the battle. Don’t forget a touch of makeup if it boosts your confidence!
  • Let the sunshine in! Open those curtains and let the light energize you. Whip up a wake-up shot with ginger and lemon to jolt your senses. It might taste funky, but it’ll definitely get you moving!
  • Hydration is key, so gulp down some water before you hit the gym. Put on those sneakers and remember – you’ll feel amazing once you’re done!
  • Still not feeling it? Find a workout buddy or try a fun class. Think about why you’re doing this – for your health and to rock that swimsuit!
  • After your sweat session, reward yourself with a delicious Premier pumpkin spice protein shake. It’s packed with protein, low in calories, and tastes like a treat. Your body will thank you!
  • Need an extra push? Walk your furry friends! It’s a win-win – they get exercise, and so do you.
