How Alicia Keys concert changed my life: Alicia Keys Concert Review 2023
If you could go back in time, what’s one piece of advice you’d tell yourself?
“Don’t doubt yourself.”
That’s the question I asked Alicia Keys during her intimate soul session right before her concert, and… that was her response.
Doubt?! Whew, it’s a word I know far too well, especially this year.
Ten months ago, I decided to focus on this blog, which has truly been an up-and-down emotional roller coaster for me. I’ve wanted to quit many times, wondered if it was worth it, and questioned if my dreams were possible.
And this blog I’ve doubted, stayed up late working on, and cried because of… is the very same blog that allowed me to meet Alicia Keys in person.
It’s crazy to believe that Alicia has ever doubted herself. After all, she’s a 10-time Grammy winner with an amazing portfolio of songs spanning decades.
Her music has touched people of all ages, genders, races, and walks of life, and that couldn’t have been more evident than when she performed at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL, with over 11,000 people present and singing along with her on stage during her Keys To The Summer Tour.
I’ve attended many concerts, but Alicia’s concert is absolutely in my top 10.
She sang, Fallin’ while playing on a beautiful, shimmering Yahama piano that rotated around the stage. She vibed with us as her 5-part band belted out music. She danced and even sampled Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams” while she busted a move across the stage with smiles and laughs
Doubt? Alicia Keys? Nahh. Can’t be.
Alicia was absolutely in her element during the concert and put on a spectacular show that had us, her fans, screaming for an encore. That night, nothing mattered except being there with Alicia, Singing along to her classic hits (including my favorite song, “Unthinkable”) as well as some of her newest hits (including “Come for me” which is one of my favorite songs of 2021).
Seeing Alicia deliver a spectacular concert with a love-for-her-craft-passion that was easy to see and feel throughout her performance reminded me of the importance of pushing through self-doubt.
How many lives has Alicia Keys’s music impacted? How many times has her music gotten people through a hard time (I know her song “Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart” definitely did for me). How many souls has she touched because she decided to push through self-doubt and continue on her path of making her dreams come true?
During her concert, it was easy to see that she’s impacted a lot of people. I saw tattoos of Alicia Keys on people, individuals crying from being so full of emotion during certain songs, and of course, people laughing and dancing with Alicia as she put on an amazing and authentic show.
And that right there changed my life.
Everyone experiences self-doubt, even the greats, like Alicia Keys, who sings, plays piano, and writes lyrics that make you feel every emotion.
On the other side of self-doubt is confidence.
And during Alicia’s performance, you could see the confidence exude from her as she danced in a sparkling 3-piece outfit, sang her heart out, and gave us an absolutely amazing show.

How many times have you doubted yourself? Questioned if your dreams were possible for you? Wondered if you were capable of all things you desired? I know I have, but just because I think something… doesn’t mean it’s true.
I get to decide if my dreams end because of my self-doubt or if my dreams become a reality because I choose to continue forward and move with confidence.
I’m thankful that Alicia Keys did not allow self-doubt to stop her because then we wouldn’t have all of the amazing music she’s created (or her amazing skincare line KEYS, which includes one of my favorite peptide serums!).
And I won’t allow doubt to be the reason I don’t share my gifts and art with the world, either.
Oh, and if you’re wondering if Alicia Key’s Tour; Keys to the summer tour is worth it, absolutely! For two hours, she sings her top hits, plays piano, dances, and vibes with us in the audience. It’s not a concert; it’s an experience that you can tell Alicia truly enjoys, and you’ll enjoy too!
